BASECOAT PAINT MIXING RATIOS Thoroughly mix four parts Low-VOC Urethane Basecoat with one part Low-VOC Urethane Activator. Use Fast (50308ZP) for small jobs, or temps below 75°F; Medium (50309ZP) for small jobs, or temps between 70-85°F; or Slow (50310ZP) for large jobs, or temps above 80°F. Keep in mind, other factors, such as humidity, air flow and total film thickness should also be considered. In many situations, it will be useful to add 10%-20% 50104ZP Zero-VOC Reducer to aid sprayabliity, flow and leveling. Remember, this is an activated basecoat system; only mix as much as is needed. Pot life is about 2 hours at 70°F.

Basecoat should dry dust-free within 10-20 minutes. May be lightly sanded in as few as 20 minutes. Wait at least 30 minutes before wet sanding. Wait 45-90 minutes before taping on the fresh film. All dry times are approximate, at 70°. Temperature, air flow, total film thickness and other variable may extend these times.

Great coverage! The colors awesome! Not to bright or not to dark just a perfect red that looks sporty. Lays on great, almost looked like one coat of this does the job! But of course I did two coats to make sure I didn’t miss a spot ha. I did my whole Acura Rsx from exterior to door jams and hatch and still have 3/8 left. More then enough for the engine bay, etc. I would of used the clear coat from Eastwood but I had already purchased a different brand before discovering this website! Love the website and layout, easy to find what you need from a trusted brand. Anyways here’s some pics of the red, don’t judge tho! I still gotta color buff for that mirror finish since I’m a rookie still lol

Beautiful bright red, sprayed easy covered great.I ought this paint a couple of months ago for my first ever attempt at spraying a car. I've used all Eastwood products from the body work up. Everything worked great. i sprayed a sealer coat of grey epoxy primer thinned down about 20% with a reducer, let that flash and then sprayed the paint. I used boulevard black for the stripes.
If I sprayed this over the Candeez Silver Metallic base, would I get a metallic red finished look?
