Eastwood's Self-Etching Weld-Thru Primer combines the benefits of a weld-thru and the capabilities of a traditional self-etching primer.
Enhances adhesion and durability of top coats
Prevents corrosion and reduces spatter
Non-conductive organic binders
Gray color
Made in the USA
This unique self-etching primer formula has organic binders that replace conductive heavy metals such as copper and zinc. These organic binders will burn off during the welding process, leaving a corrosion-resistant self-etching primer for paint prep. This product will reduce spatter and distortion caused by excessive heat that occurs during the welding process. Compatible with MIG, TIG and Arc welding. The metal-etching primer will enhance adhesion and durability and is compatible with most top coats.
What's Included
16.1 oz Net Weight Gray in color
Instructions & Guides
Clean surface with Eastwood's PRE, prior to applying primer. Apply 2 medium wet coats, allowing 5 minutes flash time between coats. Allow to cure at least 20 minutes prior to welding.

I have used this product on the inner and outer surface of a car door shell. Can I spray 2k epoxy primer over this prior to my color? Do I need to go back down to bare metal and start over with just epoxy primer? I need help.

Epoxy primer is not compatible with self-etching weld-thru primers. Remove any remaining self-etching weld-thru primer after welding.
Properly clean and prepare the surface according to the epoxy primer's instructions before application. Utilize a good PRE cleaner.
