Glass bead blast media works best on softer metals like aluminum, brass and die-cast. It also works well for paint, carbon and rust removal as well as removing paint from sheet metal. Using glass beads for media produces a lot less dust than aluminum oxide or silicon carbide abrasives, though you should still take proper precautions.
