A vise bolted solidly to a bench is the cornerstone from which a workshop is built. This 6 inch industrial quality, ductile iron vise is as solid as they come. The handles and screw are chrome plated, and the rest of the vise is a durable Eastwood blue, so it will continue to look good for many years of service.

Nice 6" ViseI just received shipment of my 6" vise and it appears to be well made and a bargain for the price. I will try to post a picture indicating the mounting hole dimensions.

Works well for my intended useSo far ,so good. I don't normally beat the crap out of my vises so after 40 years of service my old Craftsman 4" just got too sloppy to use. I needed to upgrade to a 6" vise to help hold dirt bike forks while servicing them - the new clamping system for forks works so much better with the 6" vise. I have done several rebuilds using this vise and forgot how nice a smooth operating vise could be. The clamping mandrel moves smoothly and without slop . Adjusting swivel points are so much easier and actually hold their position. Very satisfied but like I said , I seldom use a vise to beat the crap out of stuff.

6” Eastwood bench viseProduct was a great quality at an even better price.
Can I get a hole template for the 6 inch vise #30114? I'm building a mounting bracket for the vise I ordered and would like to be ready for installation when the vise arrives.
Asked by: Dan J
I finally received my vise and thought that I would answer my own question (in case anyone else needs to know). The two closest holes are 5-1/4" c/c and the third hole is 7-5/8" c/c from each of the other two. The dimension lines form a triangle in my measurements. The bolt holes are tapered and are 5/8" diameter at the top and 3/4" at the bottom / base.

Description indicates ductile iron. Is that correct or is it made of cast iron?
Asked by: ViceBuyer
Ductile iron, also known as ductile cast iron. While most varieties of cast iron are weak in tension and brittle, ductile iron has much more impact and fatigue resistance.
