Some project rods just won't look finished until you've put on that distinctive, matte car paint finish. Our paint is the only way to go! This premium 2-component topcoat system is blended with top-quality raw materials and advanced composition coatings technology. Superior to acrylic, alkyd and lacquer coatings. Eastwood's single-stage urethane paints hold their gloss longer and won't yellow.

Sure, some like to "drive her in primer", or opt for a quick "rattle-can" paint job, but this activated, single-step acrylic urethane car paint is a smarter and much longer-lasting choice! Mix 4:1 with activator; no further reduction required.

Use this kit with Eastwood's premium single-stage urethane paints or other manufacturer's base-coat systems. May even be used over factory finishes in good condition. Rat Rod Matte Clear is also ideal for interior parts, underhood components, hobbies and crafts.

Two medium coats will achieve a 10-15% gloss level.

Other finish options include applying over Eastwood's 21855ZP Satin Black to produce a 0% gloss. May also be mixed with EW European Urethane Clears to achieve a variety of gloss levels.
