Eastwood's 2K Ceramic Chassis Black Aerosol allows you to paint with the durability and precision of a two-component coating without the paint gun!
Give parts a professional finish with DIY ease thanks to AeroSpray™ Ceramic Chassis Black, available in Satin or Gloss. This fully catalyzed Eastwood 2K paint in a can sprays like an HVLP paint gun — except you don’t need the paint gun. The paint and activator are stored in two separate chambers. Once you activate the can (see pictures below), a proprietary nozzle and valve mix them in the perfect ratio while spraying in a wide fan pattern for better coverage. Infusing the paint with ceramic makes it protect better against UV rays, chemical stains, chips and scratches.
Apply this 2K aerosol paint over Extreme Chassis Black® Primer on axles, springs, oil pans, wheel wells and other parts. The Satin has a 25-30% satin gloss level for those who want a light shine. One can covers 10-16 square feet depending on how many coatings you apply, making it a good choice for small and medium painting projects. Add 2K AeroSpray Clear for further protection and a custom look. Do the Job Right using our chassis spray paint that comes with lifetime tech support.

This paint is very tough!I painted my chrome exhaust tips black to match the rest of the all black truck and it looks awesome. I also painted my trailer wheels and they look fantastic as well. They look so good that I am ordering more paint for my car trailer wheels.

Great Results on Frame ApplicationPainted a 68 GTO frame with satin black 2k paint and it turned out great. Paint sprayed fine until the can was almost empty. Then had to hold it vertical or it would sputter. Adjusted my approach to spray the areas where the can needed to be at an angle first when still full, and vertical surfaces as the can got close to empty. Happy with the result!

Over the moon happyI’m not experienced with painting aside form single stage rattle can paint that doesn’t hold up. II did a good prep job…. Not perfect but pretty darn good. Then 2 coats of epoxy primer followed by detailed sanding to get it just right… the primer is great and sands easily by the way. Then time for the aerospray 2k
Ceramic chassis top coat. It was a dream to work with…. Came out of the can flawlessly and flowed out beautifully. There are spots that aren’t perfect but that’s where either my prep wasn’t perfect or my technique got the best of me… I’m very happy.

No complaintsI just used two cans. The adjustable fan shaped spray pattern functioned without issue. It only sputtered a little when the can was about empty. The gloss provided a shiny candy coated finish. Only time will show how durable it is.
So expensive though.

Good protection as long as you don't need show qualityI'm still waiting on the paint to cure as I write this. I used Rust Encapsulator Platinum after taking enormous painstaking efforts using a plethora of tools to remove the old rust and paint from my '78 C10 frame. Beware: the instructions call for 'pushing' the button on the bottom to puncture the bladder, but I only discovered AFTER painting that one of the cans I used was not properly punctured for the activator. I pushed hard enough that the top began to collapse. I'm not sure what result that's going to have, but I'm guessing not good. Upon realizing that, on the last can I smacked the red button with a rubber mallet, which ensured a good puncture.

Good product, limited coverageI have used 2K chasis black for my 72 MGB restoration project. It works quite well, and looks great. There is not an enormous amount of coverage per can, though.
Application is easy, but be careful to wear a respirator, as it is quite toxic.
As for the review above, I have gotten some spitting on other Eastwood products, but was told they need to be stored above 50 degrees, and I had left them in an unheated garage over the winter.
It does not need a clear coat, but you can apply one over it if desired.

Can is be used over eastwood rust encapsulator platinum?
Asked by: Dave
Yes, absolutely. You can apply a top coat after 4 hours and before 48 hours of applying the Rust Encapsulator Platinum. If more than 48 hours have passed, the surface must be scuffed with a red Scotch-Brite pad or 320-grit sandpaper to ensure proper adhesion of the top coat.

What primer is recommended over bare metal before applying 2K Ceramic Chassis Black ?
Asked by: Tony51
Before applying Eastwood 2K Ceramic Chassis Black over bare metal, it is recommended to use Eastwood's 2K Epoxy Primer (50242ZP) mixed with the 50243ZP Epoxy Primer Catalyst. This primer provides excellent adhesion and durability. Additionally, the primer can be reduced up to 20% with Eastwood's 50104ZP Universal Zero-VOC Urethane Reducer to use strictly as a sealer if needed

Same formulation. That is why this is a 2K product and must be activated with the supplied button.

Love the black epoxy primer, but you don't offer AeroSpray 2K in gloss black. Now I have a dilemma trying to figure out which 2K spray paint is available in gloss black. What gives? Not going to spray the Model T in flat or satin, please add gloss black!
