Laser-welder’s G5-2000WC uses the latest generation laser source for high electrical efficiency, reliability and stability. With 2.0kW of laser output this model uses the full size body and heat pump chiller for optimal cooling and operation in hot summers. Our handheld fiber laser welding machines are unbeatable for welding sheet metal. Trials run on a customer’s 1.2mm stainless steel sheet metal product showed laser welding was SIX times as fast as TIG welding.
Using the double pendulum galvanometer (two rotating mirrors) it has the advanced ability to trace up to six very useful patterns for welding, including LASER CUTTING, the common circle pattern, oval ellipse, triangle and hourglass figure 8 shapes. The pattern size can range from 0mm for laser cutting, up to 5mm diameter if required by your situation. The standard head is our 5th generation “double wobble” welding head, which we believe is the best commercially available head.

We include a useful range of welding tips to suit external, internal and butt joints, including wire feeder types. Spare protective lenses are also included. This fiber laser welder requires little practice to start using and welds very quickly. For anyone welding sheet metal, this machine can save you a lot of time and money in your welding production. 2000W of laser power easily penetrates and welds up to 5mm thick stainless steel or carbon steel including galvanized steel, and welds up to 5mm aluminum with good penetration. The overall dimensions of this water cooled laser welder are a compact 33”x23”x30” and 310 lbs.

LASER CLEANING OPTION AVAILABLE (but not on this welder)

LASER CLEANING is available if required. Please see the new model which can switch betweening cleaning up to 30mm wide and welding WITHOUT opening the optics. This is a huge advantage over competing units which require major work to change over. This takes time and introduces dust into the optics, with consequent risk of head failure. Our touchscreen control system has welding and cleaning interfaces built in. NOTE: Competitors that swap heads or optic components introduce the risk of dust entry into the light path, which can damage the head or laser source. We strongly recommend the use of dedicated cleaners rather than swapping back and forth.

SAFETY NOTES

1.  Laser welders are Class IV lasers. They can start fires and burn skin at close range but are also dangerous to the eyes for at least 100 metres, so special safety measures are required. We provide guidance on safety, but because safety is so important our safety acknowledgement must be signed before shipping and using the laser welder.
2. You must purchase and use our safety glasses and laser welding helmet with this machine. In any case these are the best value on the market, with high and known protection levels, so you should be using them anyway.
